This technique works well when the burn is felt within. The burn - usually is a by product of ego, which is a by product of mind. When ego is there the burn has to be felt by each. Burn within may seem to be caused by various colors like revenge, emotional disturbance, argument, comparison, love (so called). People mistake these to be the reasons for the Burn. But on exposing the roots, the real problem appears to be the same mind and hence ego and hence these.
Start chanting a favorite mantra with full awareness. The mantra usually needs to give awareness of something before which you can stand exposed, before which you can give up, before which you can bow, before which you become insignificant. If it is OOm Ganapathaye Namaha, OOm Vigneshwaraya Namaha - the chanting goes on uninterrupted and with full awareness of the deity which should appear to dwell withing our spiritual heart center. Remember to keep full awareness on this heart center. The idea is a shift from the Head center to the heart center. As the chanting progresses mentally visualize the hand offering something from the heart center to the deity with an attitude of Samarpanam - ie Offering. This has to continue through the days. Feel a total offering of the heaviness at the heart center to the Superior what you have chosen.
Remember to continue this through the day. The more hours you spend in awareness of this technique, the more effect if brings. Usually observed is we tend to give up this meditation in an hour or so. So let the ego decide first that, I will do this technique for the whole of today. 'I' take it as a challenge. And finally the boat has to dropped like budha says. Once you cross the river, the boat has to be dropped. So finally as the mediation gains power, you drop the 'I' ness with awareness. Use the 'I'ness for killing the 'I'ness.

Do you understand now?” And the whole ridiculousness of it!
It happened once that when Bokoju met his Master and asked something about Buddha, the Master took him physically and threw him out of the window… from a three-storey building. The poor fellow fell down on a rock, smashed, and the Master was looking from the window and he asked, “Do you understand now?” And the whole ridiculousness of it!
And the silence of the garden. And the silence of the accident. The shock. And the Master’s smiling face, and those compassionate eyes, and his asking, “Now do you understand?”
And in that moment, Bokoju became enlightened. He said, “Yes, yes, Master. Can I come in and touch your feet in gratitude?”
“You are welcome,” the Master said, “to have a cup of tea with me.”
And they are sipping tea together.
Gurdjieff used to say that mind is very slow in action, and he is right. The body is far quicker. Mind is very lethargic; it goes on round and round in circles. So whenever there is some urgency, then your existence does not allow your mind to go round and round through logical processes to come to a conclusion, because then it will be too late.
One Zen Master had this habit that whenever he would talk of God, of Buddha, of the higher dimensions of life, he would raise one of his fingers towards the sky. It became so characteristic of him that one of his small sannyasins, a young boy — must have been of the age of Siddhartha — became very much interested in this one finger pointing upwards. And he was always in attendance just to do something for the Master — if he needs some tea, to run and bring the tea, or just to be by his side and to help him to get rid of the mosquitoes.
He learnt the trick, and playfully, whenever the Master was not looking at him, he would show one finger to the audience. The Master knew — people would laugh, or smile and he would know who was doing the whole trick.
One day — and this can be done only by a Zen Master — he simply caught hold of the child when he was making the gesture of one finger pointing to heaven, and cut the finger with a sharp knife. Now, just think of doing such a thing to poor Siddhartha….
The child cried, screamed, and the Master said, “Stop! And put the finger up!” And his shout was such, it was such a thunderlike shout, that the child forgot all about his finger, that it had been cut and blood was oozing, and he showed the finger which was NO more there, because the Master had ordered.
And in that moment when he was showing a finger which was no more there, he became aware of the invisible; the Master was not pointing to something visible, but something invisible. And the child started laughing, and the Master took him into his embrace and said, “You have understood.” And it is said that small child had his first satori. Later on became a famous enlightened Master.

Cheated on me!
Well, this Swami's name is out in the press for getting intimate with a woman. Right time to write about 'Cheated on me!' - I trusted this Swami. I had faith in this Swami. He broke my trust, he cheated me.
What indeed is the right feeling here within me?
Well as is always the case there are multiple feelings within. Well it goes something like these:
1. I didn't expect this from him.
2. He broke my faith / trust in him.
3. What will people think - about Me who followed him or about Him, whom i had projected as a intelligent soul.
4. People are going to make fun of me.
5. Is this life worth it? Shouldn't I just get back to my naughty old ways and be ruled by the mind?
6. Now i have to cover up my face and defend that I was not a follower of this guy actually - ha ha technically speaking etc.
7. Now i have to defend that - what I believed in and practiced is justified, that I didn't blindly follow him.
8. Why did he do it? he had too much at stake.
9. Well its a bogus report, this Swami ji just cannot do anything wrong. The knowledge that i have gathered from his teaching is indicative of that. Maybe he just wants to prove a point to his devotees - what true love is.
10. How is this guy going to respond, is it his end or will he fight back? Another Osho in the making? Hope so.
Could some of these be the feeling of a cheated husband or wife? It might just not be about - I had faith in him and he broke it.

How can one attain this freshness?
How can one attain this freshness?
It is the shortest meditation in the world. But you have to do it suddenly.
Walking on the street, suddenly you remember. Stop yourself. Stop yourself completely. Be still. Be present for half a minute. Whatsoever the situation, stop and just be. Then start moving again. Six times a day. At least.
Look at everything you pass as it for the first time. Make it a continuous attitude. Be it your wife or the husband, the burger or the movie, or even the emotions or the meditations. Touch everything as if for the first time. If you can do this, you will be freed of your past. The burden, depth, dirtiness, accumulated experiences – you will be frees of them. Every moment, every move from the past.
By constantly being in the present, you will slowly develop an affinity for it. Then everything will be new. Then you will be able to understand. All meditations try to get you to live in the present. This technique is one of the most beautiful and easiest.

I love that somebody errrrr.... sombody's image i created
Ever felt?
- oh its so easy to get along with person A
- oh its just not easy to get along with person B
- oh i have a love hate relation with person C
- person D does not match up to my expectations
- i keep away from person E, our ideas do not match
- i had enough, person F is just unfeeling
- i dont see any point in taking it further with person G
Do we love the person in the above statements or are we in love with the image of the person we have created in out mind?
For any relation, we mentally build up an image of that person in our subconscious. If the person matches this image we come with the first statement. If the person does not match this image, we come up with second statement. Realize this always, whether the relationship is of joy or of sorrow, a constant awareness of this process of image matching is required within us - ie if we were to experience more joy in relations.
A wonderful homework would be to keep noting all instances of this image matching in a day for any relationship of your choice.
We send an sms with all the so called love in it to our dear ones thinking we love the dear one. The reply is a plain yes or no with no colors attached - a real life answer rather than a reel life answer. Now is the moment! Capture your mind at this very instance. Feel the frustration rise, feel the sorrow happening, feel the burning inside, feel the misery inside, feel the mind say - no more sms. i cannot make a fool of myself, i give so much attention so much love and this is what i get, i too have a self esteem, i cannot dip below that, am not going to sms again or take the initiative. If this awareness is felt, then you are liberated. Analise this. I expected the other to reply in reel life replies and i got a real life reply. My image of other was reel life, it didnt match the real life Him or her. Remember we are happy with a relation ONLY because it matches the image of that person we carry within us. Next question, is this love?

The river flows...
Fresh feelings.. so good to write this now! The river flows... another relation flows by. During our lifetime we come across so many relations and each of them has a potential to affect us. So then what is the best way in a relation? How should we be in a relation, what should the relation be for us?
Be a river when you approach a relation, approach a river when you go to a relation.
Be like a river when you approach a friend, treat her like a river when you approach her.
A river is flowing and it remains fresh and is able to provide fresh water for all that approaches it on its journey called life. When the flow stops, it stagnates.
When we want fresh water we approach the river quench our thirst and then leave. We do not try to stop it and keep it to ourselves. For if we do so, it stagnates, it collects more of ills than goodwill.
The river on the other hand provides us the fresh water and leaves us. This is existence, this is the way of life. On the other hand if the river gets attached and stops, it collects more of dirt and foul smell and instead of providing the freshness, our relation with it is more of discomfort than bliss.
So remember - be a river in a relation. Do not try to hold on to a river or do not try to stop it- the essence is lost! When these are followed you will notice the river still is flowing for you with all the freshness and bliss.
Be a river when you approach a relation, approach a river when you go to a relation.

Levels of Love?????????
These three things are to be taken note of: the lowest love is sex - it is physical - and the highest refinement of love is compassion. Sex is below love, compassion is above love; love is exactly in the middle. Very few people know what love is. Ninety-nine percent of people, unfortunately, think sexuality is love - it is not. Sexuality is very animal; it certainly has the potential of growing into love, but it is not actual love, only a potential.... If you become aware and alert, meditative, then sex can be transformed into love. And if your meditativeness becomes total, absolute, love can be transformed into compassion. Sex is the seed, love is the flower, compassion is the fragrance. Buddha has defined compassion as love plus meditation. When your love is not just a desire for the other, when your love is not only a need, when your love is a sharing, when your love is not that of a beggar but an emperor, when your love is not asking for something in return but is ready only to give - to give for the sheer joy of giving - then add meditation to it and the pure fragrance is released. That is compassion; compassion is the highest phenomenon. So remember ... sex is seed, love is the flower and compassion is the fragrance.
