Samarpannam - a meditation technique

This technique works well when the burn is felt within. The burn - usually is a by product of ego, which is a by product of mind. When ego is there the burn has to be felt by each. Burn within may seem to be caused by various colors like revenge, emotional disturbance, argument, comparison, love (so called). People mistake these to be the reasons for the Burn. But on exposing the roots, the real problem appears to be the same mind and hence ego and hence these.

Start chanting a favorite mantra with full awareness. The mantra usually needs to give awareness of something before which you can stand exposed, before which you can give up, before which you can bow, before which you become insignificant. If it is OOm Ganapathaye Namaha, OOm Vigneshwaraya Namaha - the chanting goes on uninterrupted and with full awareness of the deity which should appear to dwell withing our spiritual heart center. Remember to keep full awareness on this heart center. The idea is a shift from the Head center to the heart center. As the chanting progresses mentally visualize the hand offering something from the heart center to the deity with an attitude of Samarpanam - ie Offering. This has to continue through the days. Feel a total offering of the heaviness at the heart center to the Superior what you have chosen.
Remember to continue this through the day. The more hours you spend in awareness of this technique, the more effect if brings. Usually observed is we tend to give up this meditation in an hour or so. So let the ego decide first that, I will do this technique for the whole of today. 'I' take it as a challenge. And finally the boat has to dropped like budha says. Once you cross the river, the boat has to be dropped. So finally as the mediation gains power, you drop the 'I' ness with awareness. Use the 'I'ness for killing the 'I'ness.
